While I’m not the best at doing things on a regular basis, I’m going to try to review one new beverage weekly and offer you a toast. For some reason I really like toasts. They are usually funny or at least quirky. So here is “A Toast to Thursday.”
Welcome, welcome to a Toast for Thursday. I don’t know about your part of the world, but it is still freezing in NH. The sun seems a bit warmer, but overall spring still seems slightly unattainable.
Tonight we needed to relax a bit, so we headed out to The Riverworks (check out their new website) for some dinner and a few drinks. I was excited to see that they had Weihenstephan Heffeweisbier (hefewizen = unfiltered wheat beer).
I haven’t had a hefewizen since the summer; it was great. I had this beer in a bottle once, but in my opinion all beer tastes better on draft. This is a really smooth hefewizen, and it makes me want to tour Germany. Even though this beer is light colored, it does not taste or feel light. On a scale of 1(Bud Light) to 5, I’d give it a 4.
A toast:
May the tide of fortune float us into the harbor of content.
