In the summer getting a work out in seems like it would be easy but sometimes it just doesn’t happen. For the next 25 days, I’m participating in a long distance boot camp with my friend Melinda. (You’ve seen her all over this blog, here, here, and here. We may live hundreds of miles apart, but it has seemingly no effect on our friendship). Since we’ve both been slacking off the last few weeks, we decided to put a little something on the line. She who looses the least weight between now and Melinda’s trip to Atlanta has to buy the first round.
Here’s our workout schedule:
Saturdays are any physical activity of your choice. I didn’t do anything until late Saturday after dinner. With time running out, I developed the Watermelon Workout. Recreated here; just for you.
First you need to purchase a hefty Watermelon. Mine weighed about 18 pounds.
Step 1: Watermelon Twists (30 reps)
Step 2: Watermelon Overhead Press (15 reps)
Step 3: Watermelon Squats (15 reps)![]()
Step 4: Repeat for 3 rounds
Step 5: When you have finished your workout, slice and eat your watermelon.
This may work out may look like a joke, but believe me I was sweating.
