While I’m not the best at doing things on a regular basis, I’m going to try to review one new beverage weekly and offer you a toast. For some reason I really like toasts. They are usually funny or at least quirky. So here is “A Toast to Thursday.”
I didn’t want you all to think I’m just a beer snob who doesn’t enjoy any other types of drinks. In reality, I’m all for equal opportunity.
One drink I really like is the whisky sour. Unfortunately, the mixes all contain weird words I can’t say. Tonight, however, I decided to make my own. It was amazingly delicious.
Whisky Sour Recipe:
2 Lemons
2 Oranges
1 Tbs of Sugar
6 oz of whisky (I like Canadian)
Cherries
Juice the fruit and whisk everything together. Chill for a few minutes with ice cubes. Pour two drinks for you and whomever is lucky enough to be enjoying this beverage with you.
This drink is tart and refreshing.
A toast:
Because I love you truly,
Because you love me, too,
My very greatest happiness
Is sharing life with you.
