After seeing layered salads on both Ashley and Susan’s blogs, I knew I had to have one of my own. I haven’t had this salad in forever and the thought of crisp iceberg lettuce sounded so appealing. In addition, I’m pretty sure I haven’t been getting the recommended dose of fruits and veggies lately.
Because I don’t like the number nine, here is my Greater Than 7 Layer Salad:
- Lettuce
- Green pepper
- Shredded Carrot
- Red onion
- Peas
- Eggs
- Mayo
- Shredded cheese
- Bacon
We both had huge servings of this salad for dinner. It was so good to eat raw vegetables. The olive oil mayo and bacon were enough to make this salad seem a bit devious.
