Goodbye World Cup

Today was a such a relaxing day. After breakfast and hanging out for awhile, I got everything going in the breadmaker for pizza dough and then Jeremy and I went for a walk. We’ve been walking almost every day the last few weeks, and it has been such a nice time to spend with each other.

Once we got back it was time to make pizzas. In Homespun Sunday style, this was all made here. While Jeremy took care of some dishes from yesterday, I chopped all the veggies for our pizza.

IMG_3338 This was some of the best pizza we have made yet.  Since getting my breadmaker at Christmas, I’ve made all but maybe one or two of the crusts that we’ve used for pizza. This one was perfect though and half wheat flour. This crust was way better than the packaged in plastic kind.

Today our pizzas were almost the same, except I had extra basil and no green pepper. I did not make the pizza sauce, maybe that is something to think about for next time.

We enjoyed our pizza while watching World Cup. I’ve really enjoyed World Cup this year. After the US lost, I threw my support behind the Netherlands, but sadly they did not win today. Maybe I’m bad luck. Good for Spain though; they played so well. While I was watching the match, I thought about where I was four years ago during World Cup (directing at a youth camp). Then I thought about where I would be in four years for the next World Cup. I realized I had absolutely no idea. We could literally be anywhere.

Where were you four years ago or where might you be in four years?

Hi Clarice! That pizza looks fantastic! I love the red onion and green pepper combo. The cheese looks great, is that fresh mozzarella that you used? Totally jealous if it is! :)

I wish it had been fresh mozzarella that would have made the pizza even better. I plan to attempt making a real Italian Margherita pizza soon and I will have to use fresh mozz. for that.

    beautiful pizza!

I’ve been wanting to try making my own mozzarella – I’m totally terrified, but it sounds easy? maybe this summer.

Hi, this article was very helpful for me. But it was difficult to find it with google.es. Maybe you should improve it with seo plugins for wordpress like WP seo. Just a tip ;)

Thanks. Sorry that your comment went to SPAM so I didn’t see it until tonight. I am working on seo plugins. Hopefully, I’ll improve quickly. Thanks again.
