Jeremy and I are off to an early start today; it’s 5am, and we’ve already been up over an hour. We are headed down to Missouri to hang out with his family, and then off to Tennessee to see friends. We did not do a good job of getting to bed early last night, so we each only got an hour or two of sleep. I feel fine right now, but I’m not sure how long that will last.
One of the reasons I got to bed late was finishing the blanket for Jack, which I should have done weeks ago. He’s the one who is also getting the giraffe. This is biggest blanket I’ve ever made about 6 X 4 feet. It will give him some room to grow.
The theme of Jack’s room is robots. It took me a long time to find friendly, robot material.
I’m blogging from the C&J Trailways bus that we are taking to get to Logan. It’s great, we can leave our car for free and it drops us off right at our terminal. The free wireless is great, but they do have a no cell phone policy which just seems silly, considering that I am typing on my laptop. I could understand if they didn’t want people to “talk”on their phones, but give me a break.
This should be a good trip. We will get to see family, go to an MLB game, and see friends we rarely get to see, plus meet Jack. YAY for summer!
I’ll be blogging intermittently over the next week. Missouri here we come!
