Monday was a big day around here. Jeremy gave his major talk. He  lectured on his research and the findings he has generated so far and his plans for his dissertation. After he completed the talk, his committee met to discuss if he is ready to move on to working on his dissertation full time. They gave a huge yes, and now he’s on to the next phase. Granted I only understood 2% of what he was saying, but it was very impressive. This is just a small example of what his work looks like, it’s basically in another language unless you too are a Topologist.

After it was all over, we went to one of Jeremy’s favorite restaurants The Portsmouth Brewery.  It was so dark in there that no pictures turned out well.  While the food is usually really great, my meal was just so-so. It was a great night, and I’m so proud of  him.
